Automotive leasing, finance and rental Industry

Developments in the automotive industry have accelerated the past years. Competition has become fierce, the lifecycle of models has shortened and the leasing, financing and rental business has reached its saturation point. This results in new demands which have to be met by leasing, financing and rental organizations.

These organizations will have to focus on limiting the fleet management costs,  extending service levels and focus strongly on risk management. We expect these organizations to strive for complete automation of their business processes and - if possible - realize complete external integration of their IT infrastructure.

Furthermore we expect customers of leasing, financing and rental organizations to ask for a higher level of service. The ability to meet the individual requirements of a customer will determine the competitive position of organizations which are active in this line of business. In a mature market customers won't settle for standard products and conditions but will demand a customized service level. The extent to which a supplier will be able to meet and fulfill the demands for a customized service level will play an important role in the commercial success of the supplier.

Finally we expect business processes which are now part of leasing, financing and rental companies to become part of the processes of dealers, customers and other companies in the automotive sector. In particular, larger customers will no longer completely outsource fleet management. Based on the individual circumstances only part of the fleet management process will be sub-contracted.

Following and anticipating the above developments, Co-maker has developed several solutions for the automotive leasing, financing, rental and fleet management businesses.
